We are pleased to welcome the Bootworks Theatre Company to the 2019 Lindfield Arts Festival!
At the 2019 Lindfield Arts Festival, The Bootworks Theatre Company will be performing their show ‘We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat’.
This is a show for small town communities, about small town communities which tackles the notions of otherness, belonging, difference, and being, allegorically, a ‘fish out of water’.
While taking its audience on a fun adventure that spans the joys of am-dram ‘warm-ups’ to finding our ‘inner sharks’.
Using the movie Jaws as a stimulus, the show will explore notions of integration, community, immigration and play.
It will be based on Artistic Director (Andy Roberts’) recent move to the small seaside town of Selsey: and highlights strange comparisons Selsey holds to the location of Amity in the movie Jaws.
Step inside and pull-up a seat around the hull of the Orca, as we enter the movie world of Jaws! Get ready to embark on underwater exploration, cage diving and shark hunting… because Selsey Amateur Dramatics has a new brand new director looking to make a splash with their first production. They’re also new to the community and this could be their best chance to make some new friends.
