Georgina Moir is a local artist who will be running a free mask decorating workshop for children at the Lindfield Art Studio on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September from 1.30 – 2.30pm. Come and decorate a mask to take away! Please note there will also be a free Prosecco hour for parents to enjoy while your children are creating! The Lindfield Art Studio are running an art raffle to win an art gift from one of the displaying artists, you can come and see the art that is on display as part of the Art Trail and Open Studio and there will also be space to sit and the garden and soak up the sun!
Art Café
On Sunday 22nd September Lindfield Art Studio will be opening their doors so that Festival visitors can enjoy an Art Café and DJ Set between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
Homemade cakes and refreshments will be served in the Studio Garden and Art will be on sale all day. Exhibiting artists will be there to chat to and relaxed soft funk music will keep the atmosphere relaxed and chilled.
The Open House will be running a raffle for an art gift from one of the amazing artists at the Studio and a free Prosecco hour for adults to enjoy between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.

Open House – Paul Guthrie
Paul Guthrie is having an open house to showcase his new collection of work on Friday 20th of September between 6.00pm and 9.00pm as well as on Saturday 21st September between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Paul’s previous work has been exhibited widely and attracted buyers from all over the world. “My intention is to create vibrant, original art to lighten the space we live in.”
Lindfield Art Festival means different things to different artists and Paul Guthrie has been preparing his home and studio for the open house weekend. Taking doors off, putting in gallery style lights, fitting shutters to windows to block out daylight – not to mention painting artwork! It’s a busy and exciting time.
Paul has been experimenting with different visual states including camouflage, daylight, ultraviolet light and light emitting pigments. It’s really starting to come together and looks incredibly exciting!
Do pop along and experiment for yourself and see which lighting state you like best.
Paul’s open house is at 41 William Allen Lane on 20 Sept Friday 6-9pm AND Saturday & Sunday 10-4pm

Georgina Moir
Georgina is a local artist who creates bold and striking contemporary watercolours of birds and animals. She seeks to create a painting that attracts the viewer’s attention and portrays the character of the animal which is an essential aspect of her work. The eyes are the most important part of her paintings as she feels once she has captured them, the rest falls into place.
As well as being an artist at the Green Tree Gallery, Borde Hill, Georgina has completed numerous commissions nationwide from a robin to celebrate a 70th, a christening duck, and pink flamingos to brighten up a Lake District sitting-room.
She’s thrilled to be exhibiting a variety of works at the Lindfield Art Studio and to be part of the festival for her fourth year running. Alongside her paintings, Georgina will also be showcasing a range of greeting cards which will also be available to buy at the festival. Open Studio – Lindfield Art Studio
Lindfield Art Studio will be opening their doors for the 2019 Lindfield Art Festival on Saturday 21st September from 10.00am to 5.00pm and on Sunday 22nd September between 10.00am to 4.00pm. It will be hosting an open house where visitors will be able to come in and see the work of seven incredible local artists, including the founder of Lindfield Arts Festival and the Lindfield Art Studio’s owner, Leesa Le May.
Each day the Studio will also be running various free workshops at 11.30am and 1.30pm where visitors can try out new skills. On both days Lindfield Art Studio will also be running a raffle where the winners will receive an art gift from one of the amazing artists exhibiting.
All the artwork on display will also be available to purchase and between 1.00pm and 2.00pm adults will be able to enjoy a free Prosecco hour as well!
On the Sunday, there will also be an Art Café open between 11.00am and 3.00pm where homemade cakes and refreshments will be served in the Studio Garden.

Leesa Le May
Leesa Le May (the founder of Lindfield Arts Festival) is a Contemporary Artist and Printmaker based in Lindfield. For many years Leesa has been teaching within local Schools, Colleges, Artist Groups and from her Sussex Studio – Lindfield Art Studio.
Drawing and sketchbooks play an important role in creating Leesa’s compositions, which can range from figurative to urban contemporary lino cuts, etches, acrylic paintings and ink work.

Beth Mercer
Beth is a Lindfield based photographer with her own natural and distinctive style. She is passionate about travel and landscape photography and has a real eye for seeing and capturing the beauty in people and places.
She’s a branding photographer for businesses, producing creative headshots, products, premises and event images. As a portrait photographer, she’s known locally for her on-location family photoshoots specialising in natural outdoor images. She’s also a documentary style photographer of events such as parties and weddings, always happy to join in a celebration!

Brett Hudson
Brett is a Sussex artist living and working in Lindfield. After training as an illustrator he has worked for several Children’s book companies. In addition he has gone on to paint acrylic canvases of Stags, Hares and Cows which he sell at The Talbot, Cuckfield and The Witch, Lindfield. He also paints humorous pictures of Lindfield and its residents.
His latest work is of realistic London scenes in watercolour, one of which was featured in a recent exhibition in The Mall Galleries, London. Brett loves to try new styles and themes always enjoying a fresh challenge! Irene Burns
Inspiration for Irene’s painting stems from a variety of sources, including landscapes, skyscapes and seascapes of Sussex, Scotland and Greece. Liminal spaces and ‘dynamic edges’ have become her personal fascination. In her artwork she creates an evocative and dramatic atmosphere – allowing the observer freedom for their interpretation.
