Georgina Moir is a local artist who will be running a free mask decorating workshop for children at the Lindfield Art Studio on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September from 1.30 – 2.30pm. Come and decorate a mask to take away! Please note there will also be a free Prosecco hour for parents to enjoy while your children are creating! The Lindfield Art Studio are running an art raffle to win an art gift from one of the displaying artists, you can come and see the art that is on display as part of the Art Trail and Open Studio and there will also be space to sit and the garden and soak up the sun!
This introduction to loom weaving workshop is open to adults and children. This workshop will be led by local fibre artist, Jess McGahan on Sunday 22nd September from 10.00am to 1.00pm in the King Edward Hall Library.
Using a selection of fibres, adults will learn how to create a bespoke woven wall hanging, focussing on the basic techniques of tapestry weaving. Children will be taught to make a colourful, one of a kind bookmark of their own design.
All attendees will be provided with a craft loom which they will be able to keep to continue their weaving projects at home.

A fun workshop for parents and children to work together to create a stitched picture on canvas from your own picture or line drawing, using different stitches. All materials will be supplied. This event is suitable for any carer with a child aged 8 years old and over. Please note that places are limited so make sure to book well in advance. About Shelley: Shelley Morrow is a figurative artist based in Brighton where she runs life drawing classes and workshops. She specialises in watercolour and hand embroidery often seeking out the movement and gesture of a pose rather than a representational likeness.

Deborah has worked professionally with glass for nearly twenty-five years creating both art and functional pieces, as well as glass jewellery. She will be showcasing her work at the 2019 Lindfield Arts Festival on Saturday 21st September at King Edward Hall between 10.00am and 5.00pm but she also runs classes on the Borde Hill Estate where she shares her passion for glass with her students so if you feel inspired by her work enquire about her workshops!

The 2019 Lindfield Arts Festival’s Craft Exhibition will take place on Saturday 21st September at King Edward Hall from 10.00am to 5.00pm!
There will be a huge assortment of beautiful and original handmade gifts on sale at the above Craft Exhibition – these will include a wide range of jewellery including handmade, silver hallmarked pieces as well as beautiful and functional glass jewelry with art deco influence – pendants, earrings and cufflinks and unique wire weaved, beaded and soutache items all designed by local jewellers.
We will have men’s natural grooming products, fun bath bombs, beeswax candles, textiles – including scarves, bags and wet felted pictures, pieces of art crafted from beachcombing and glass sculpted art window hangings.
From Peru, Nepal and Vietnam there will be a wide range of ceramics and quirky and unusual gifts and an interior design stall with lovely fabrics and cushions, handbags, photography, printed cards and locally made perfume. And many other lovely items to buy as gifts or treats! Where possible products are handmade, organic and ethically sourced.

Amanda Beadle is a self-taught artisan perfumer based in Sussex, UK. Her first perfume, Chienoir, broke through to win the international Art & Olfaction Awards 2018, which celebrates excellence in independent, artisan and experimental perfume from all over the world. We are excited to showcase over twenty-five local artists’ work over the Arts Festival weekend. This year’s Art Exhibition, sponsored by Taylor Wimpey, will be held in Lindfield Primary Academy’s Sports Hall on School Lane on Saturday 21st of September from 10.00am to 5.00pm and Sunday 22nd of September between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Artworks cover many mediums including oils, acrylics, various printmaking techniques, watercolours, textiles etc. and range from figurative to abstract and conceptual. Many of our artists will be around over the whole weekend so there is an opportunity to chat with them and find out about their work, all of which is for sale. There will also be a promotional table from artists belonging to the Adventurers’ Art Club so if you would like to get involved with a local club, you can find out all about it.
