An introduction to Mindfulness with Ed Halliwell
September 22, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Free
This one-hour introduction to mindfulness, led by Ed Halliwell of Mindfulness Sussex (mindfulnesssussex.co.uk) will include a taste of some key mindfulness practices, experiential group inquiry and discussion, and presentation of the science of and rationale for mindfulness.
We will look at what mindfulness is and how it can be beneficial, explore some practices that can help participants become more present, develop helpful responses in stressful situations, and manage thoughts, emotions and body sensations more skilfully, and also look at the science of mindfulness for cultivating mental and physical health, managing demands, improving self-regulation and resilience, and cultivating strong relationships.
The session will also examine how to develop a personal mindfulness practice and bring mindfulness into the midst of daily life.
